Many parishes have a Liaison with the Catholic Foundation. This volunteer position acts as the “eyes and ears” at the parish level to partner with the Catholic Foundation. Liaisons promote the awareness, understanding and value of endowments and other planned gifts and are a vital key to the ongoing support of a parish.
The Catholic Foundation and the parish Liaison communicate on a regular basis with various ways to educate and assist parishioners with planned gifts. Some of these responsibilities of a Liaison are: Coordinate Will and Estate seminars; establish Planned Giving Societies; educate the Foundation on the needs of the parish; coordinate meetings with appropriate parish groups; and meet with Finance Councils, Parish Councils and pastors on an annual basis. The Catholic Foundation provides support to Liaisons with printing, articles for bulletins and newsletters, speakers, and any planned giving support that is needed by the parish.
For more information on how to contact your Parish Liaison or to be a partner with the Foundation, please contact the office at 812-424-5536 or by email at lcox@evdio.org. The Parish Liaison Brochure is also available on the website.
